Course overview
This course will provide students with a basic knowledge and understanding of intensive production species and the common problems encountered within these systems. Emphasis will be placed on pigs, poultry and aquaculture industries.
Course learning outcomes
- To have a knowledge of the common problems encountered within aquaculture industries
- To have a knowledge of the common problems encountered within pig industries
- To have a knowledge of the common problems encountered within the poultry industries
- To be able to assess the common problems encountered within intensive production industries
- To be able to conduct a clinical audit of intensive production facilities
- To be able to prepare a veterinary health plan for an intensive production facility
