Course overview
In this course, students will develop professional practice skills in the management of communication and swallowing disorders in a range of contemporary settings through the application of speech pathology knowledge and skills acquired in pre-clinical courses. This course will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate integration of the theoretical, and practical knowledge acquired during the course, and consider this in light of legislative and ethical complexities. The course will also prepare graduates to work within a range of contemporary settings. The focus will be working with paediatric clients and families and working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

- Integrate complex theory, legislative and ethical considerations into clinical decision making for clients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Synthesise knowledge and clinical experiences to demonstrate professional practice skills across a variety of practice contexts.
