To develop knowledge and skills of outdoor leadership to support two complementary learning outcomes Care for Country and peoples wellbeing.
Course learning outcomes
- Inquire into and describe the relationship between the health and care of Country with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal health
- Inquire into and describe and apply approaches to improving Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal health through use of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal land management practices
- Apply, reflect on and evaluate outdoor healthcare/therapeutic approaches to enhance health and well-being
- Design, conduct and evaluate an outdoor journey that includes Caring for Country and therapeutic outdoor practices
