Course overview

Develop students abilities in the field of professional outdoor leadership in an aquatic environment. Students will learn to plan, prepare, manage risk, instruct safe practices, and respond to critical incidents in aquatic environments for learning, therapeutic or developmental outcomes.

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply and adapt skills and knowledge in a complex environment to (independently) lead, guide andinstruct in safe outdoor travel in an outdoor activity such as kayaking
