Course overview

The aim of this course is to prepare UniSA Online students for successful online study through the development of knowledge, skills and affective qualities that promote success in higher education. This course is designed to prepare students for success in the UniSA Online learning environment. Students will investigate a topic related to the future challenges of their discipline area, which will help to prepare for further study and graduate careers. Students will learn how to summarise academic articles, critically analyse texts, generate ideas, interpret data, find images and other supporting material for academic studies, write a report, demonstrate academic integrity and reference sources of information. The course will introduce many relevant digital tools and explore how these can be used to conduct research, complete online assessments and more. The skills and approaches learned throughout this course will help prepare students for success in undergraduate programs.
