Course overview
This course introduces students to ideas of career readiness across a range of arts and social sciences industry sectors. Students work individually and collaboratively to establish career goals and directions, develop understanding of their chosen industry sector(s) and begin developing a professionally focused resume and portfolio.
Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate understanding of potential career directions and settings
- Articulate short and medium-term career goals and strategies to work towards these
- Demonstrate understanding of one or more industries or industry sectors relevant to career interests
- Demonstrate understanding and application of key employability skills
