Course overview

This is an elective course in the Graduate Certificate in Research Skills and Master of Research programs intended to provide an introduction to perspectives of First Nation peoples on research, and an awareness and understanding of Indigenous epistemologies, perspectives, methodologies, methods and principles.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the perspectives of First Nations peoples on research, and understanding of Indigenous epistemologies, perspectives, methodologies, methods and principles
  • Apply the understanding of First Nations epistemologies, perspectives and methods to inform unique and innovative approaches to investigating research questions.
