Course overview

This is a core course in the Graduate Certificate in Research Skills and Master of Research programs intended to provide an introduction to the key skills of time and self-management, collaboration, teamwork and participation in global research communities, including understanding the processes of peer review. Students will learn about why these aspects are important in the modern research context and acquire some foundational skills in their practice.

Course learning outcomes

  • Develop plans for the conduct of research projects including time and resources budgets.
  • Analyse the role of research teams and international research collaboration in the advancement of knowledge
  • Apply effective techniques for collaboration in research in small, large, local and international teams.
