Course overview
This is a core course in the Graduate Certificate in Research Skills and Master of Research programs providing an introduction to the principles of research ethics and integrity and regulatory requirements. It forms a foundation for further development of research skills through further coursework, and the conduct of supervised research. Students will learn about the responsible conduct of research, as covered by the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. Relevant legislation pertaining to human and animal ethics and general principles of ethical professional conduct, including management of conflicts of interest will be introduced.
