Course overview
This course aims to advance the knowledge of occupational health and health practitioners to provide them with a sound basis of the theoretical considerations, practical issues and barriers related to work injury management in Australian workplaces.
Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge on relevant legislation as it applies to work injury management.
- Apply advanced work injury management skills as part of their everyday work injury practice.
- Explore the perspectives of different stakeholders in work injury management.
- Formulate strategies to overcome barriers in return to work.
- Communicate in an appropriate manner to all stakeholders in both written and oral format.
- Discuss ethical issues related to injury management in an informed manner.
