Course overview

This Placement provides education and training in professional practice and skills to prepare the student for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Course learning outcomes

  • Apply the professional standards and codes of conduct to practice
  • Use feedback from placement supervisor(s) and other colleagues and professionals to improve professional practice
  • Integrate interpersonal and organisational skills into practice
  • Select, administer and interpret assessment results and interventions to an appropriate professional standard
  • Interview a diverse range of people competently
  • Use skills to provide appropriate evidenced-based interventions and approaches for organisations and people, including people from diverse backgrounds
