Course overview

The course aims to enhance student's professional capabilities by fostering advanced student analyses of the main factors shaping emerging patterns in global power relations and their consequences on the Asian region and world order.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of relevant international relations and political economy theories
  • Identify drivers shaping emerging patterns in global power relations, the Asian region and world order and awareness of current events in global affairs likely to impact the possibility of peace and conflict in the Asian region
  • Develop the capacity to analyse the nature of power relations in the twenty-first century and the challenges and opportunities created by the transformation of power in relation to the Asian regional integration.
