Course overview
This independent research-based course builds on practical courses in the major and enables students to immerse themselves fully in a program design exercise. In the initial weeks students refresh their understanding of key aspects of program design, such as setting objectives, defining development problems, developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks/log frames. Student groups work on a range of collective skills-building activities before moving on to think about their own individual project/program design submissions. The comprehensive design document is developed in a context and upon a theme of the students own choice. This work will be supported by ongoing presentations and periodic supervision.
