Course overview
This course challenges students to compose ways of using evidence-based policies to address the complex and unfolding social problems that contemporary societies are facing.
Course learning outcomes
- Critically review documents that advocate for particular policy positions
- Identify different policy interventions for social problems and quality sources of policy-relevant evidence
- Formulate an evidence-based argument which substantiates the merits of a particular policy position in relation to others and proposes recommendations
