Course overview
This course equips students with essential laboratory skills for a career in biomedical biotechnology research and industry. Students will develop a thorough understanding of the scientific method and experimental design, applying cutting-edge technologies. The course emphasises hands-on learning and practical application of platform technologies, complementing the theoretical foundations covered in the accompanying course, Advanced Research Platforms.

Course learning outcomes
- Apply knowledge of current biomedical research platforms to the design of laboratory experiments.
- Interpret and analyse experimental data from specific biomedical research platforms
- Communicate scientific concepts, research findings and their significance for society, both individually and through collaboration.
- Apply essential practical skills in the field of biomedical science, including principles of reagent preparation and good laboratory practice (GLP).
