Course overview
The aim of this course is to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills, application of professional judgement and individual and shared decision-making, including commitment to lifelong learning and the ability to recognise and work within personal and legal limitations. Legal and ethical practice, person-centred care, interprofessional communication and collaboration, medication safety and quality use of medicines, primary healthcare, prescription and therapeutic problems and communication, cultural communication, digital health, harm minimization.
Course learning outcomes
- Apply critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills in a range of practice areas to demonstrate well-developed professional judgement and competent practice.
- Apply legal, professional and ethical frameworks to a range of pharmacy practice scenarios.
- Demonstrate the principles of information literacy to effectively research, review, analyse and share information to enhance practice.
- Demonstrate interprofessional communication and collaboration.
- Evaluate the workplace learning plan and apply change where required in order to demonstrate fitness-to-practise.
