Course overview
The aim of this course is to develop skills in literature collection and review; data collection, analysis, interpretation; and in the communication of research findings to inform future practice. Students will complete a practice-based research project relevant to the practice at the site at which they complete their Board mandated supervised practice hours.
Course learning outcomes
- Critically review and evaluate existing literature
- Relate the existing literature, intended methodology, and research plan with the hypothesis
- Develop and utilise problem-solving skills to identify then resolve potential limitations and restrictions
- Communicate research findings clearly and coherently in verbal and written expression
- Evaluate the implications of the research findings for the relevant pharmacy practice setting
