Course overview

The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of contemporary pharmacotherapeutics. The syllabus involves the development of knowledge in the science of drug treatment of human disease, pharmacotherapeutics, in the following health discipline areas: cardiology; endocrinology; respiratory medicine; rheumatology; dermatology; oncology. For each of these discipline areas, specific conditions managed with pharmacotherapeutic modalities will be addressed.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics in the management of diseases/disorders encompassed in this course
  • Apply skills to enable pharmacotherapeutic knowledge to be communicated appropriately in both professional and lay contexts
