Course learning outcomes
- In collaboration with relevant inter-disciplinary team members, conduct a comprehensive assessment and document a plan of care for a person
- Implement safe and effective person-centred nursing care to achieve the identified health outcomes.
- Use problem solving skills to evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan and revise where necessary to meet the continuing needs of the person/group
- Demonstrate appropriate communication strategies to promote an optimal physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual environment for people/groups.
- Apply analytical skills in accessing health information and research evidence in the provision of person-centred nursing care.
- Evaluate own nursing practice in accordance with professional standards, legal and ethical policies and codes of practice and revise where appropriate.
