Course overview

This course provides students with theoretical and methodological underpinning for conducting research in strategic communication and media.

Course learning outcomes

  • Explain and analyse how research processes and practices are used in professional communication and media contexts, including ethical considerations
  • Apply knowledge of communication and media research design principles to create and implement ethically sound research methods
  • Analyse and interpret research findings using clear and concise language to explain their implications for communication practice
  • Report the results of communication and media research using different formats relevant to the sector, and for distribution across a variety of platforms
