Course overview
This course challenges students to think critically about how young people engage with digital cultures in everyday life with a particular focus on negotiating risk, cultural policy, digital intimacies, and user experience using theoretical and empirical research.
Course learning outcomes
- Evaluate key debates and critical knowledges around youth, digital media, and risk
- Discuss and critically evaluate real-world application of social and media concepts and theory relating to youth, digital media and risk
- Use digital media technologies to convey a dynamic understanding of youth, digital media and risk
- Demonstrate teamwork, leadership and communication skills

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
