Course overview

Students develop skills in client relations, project management, mockups, pitches, and web asset creation through specialised study and practical engagement. Students gain expertise in content management systems, hosting, domain management, PHP, SEO, site security and maintenance.

Course learning outcomes

  • Learn key guidelines for effective client interactions and strengthen digital project management skills, ensuring successful client relationships and project delivery
  • Translate provided design briefs into mock-ups, pre-production plans and client pitches to effectively communicate and realise web design concepts
  • Develop web infrastructure management skills, such as the registration, configuration and management of web and domain hosting, and implementing security measures to ensure reliable website operation and data integrity
  • Develop advanced skills in the use of content management systems such as Wordpress.org to realise web design projects including plugins, SEO and site security
