Course overview
Through specialised study and practical engagement, students develop skills in interpreting design briefs, producing web preproduction materials, and communicating and pitching design concepts to stakeholders. They gain expertise in web infrastructure management; in building and managing functional websites using content management systems; and in implementing and evaluating accessibility standards to ensure compliant and user-friendly websites.

Course learning outcomes
- Develop functional website preproduction materials from design briefs and effectively communicate and pitch web design concepts to stakeholders.
- Apply web infrastructure management skills, including domain registration, hosting setup, and implementing security measures, to maintain reliable websites.
- Effectively utilise content management systems (CMS) to build and manage functional websites to meet client goals, including customising themes and templates, ensuring ethical use of digital assets.
- Implement and evaluate accessibility standards to meet industry expectations for compliant and user-friendly websites.
