Course overview
This course introduces students to a variety of theories and issues concerning gender, sexuality, and representation, with a focus on audio-visual culture; students will develop the ability to critically analyse and contextualise representations of gender and sexuality across a variety of screen media.

Course learning outcomes
- Identify key themes, and issues concerning gender, sexuality, and representation in screen culture.
- Apply theoretical frameworks concerning gender and sexuality to visual art forms in the course.
- Critically evaluate representations of gender and sexuality across a variety of art forms and media
- Develop a critically informed creative artefact.
