Course overview
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the R language and its use for data analysis. The aim of this course is topics covered in this course include: an introduction to descriptive statistics, data description and graphical representation, data manipulation and cleaning, summary measures (centre, spread, skewness, kurtosis, correlation), and exploratory data analysis (EDA) with applications.
Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of core features of the R language.
- Use available tools to extract, transform and load data needed for exploratory data analysis.
- Perform exploratory data analysis using R.
- Effectively use R to present results of exploratory data analysis.
