Course overview
To develop students as self-sufficient learners of mathematics and increase mathematical confidence while building confidence and a strong foundation in mathematical knowledge for future undergraduate study in a wide range of disciplines.
Course learning outcomes
- Apply mathematical knowledge of arithmetic, proportions and ratio, and linear equations to investigate, gain insights into, and solve problems
- Explore a variety of perspectives for tackling an unfamiliar problem, select and apply a perspective that enables a particular problem to be solved
