Course overview
In Honours Dissertation students undertake a substantial piece of research in the form of the 12,000 word research dissertation. These capabilities are augmented by the Compulsory companion courses as outlined above. This course builds on the research skills developed explicitly in Honours Research and Writing.
Course learning outcomes
- Analyse the foundational principles of their chosen thesis topic
- Undertake complex legal research with primary and secondary materials;
- Critique the operation of law from a policy perspective
- Structure and sustain cohesive written arguments for a legal audience
- Reflect on their abilities to effectively and independently undertake individual work
