Course overview
This course provides learners with opportunities to explore and develop their understanding of long-form storytelling in journalism, and to apply this understanding to the production of their own long-form journalism work. Building on the fundamentals of journalism covered in Journalism Foundations and News Writing, this course scaffolds critical engagement with principles and exemplars of feature writing and multimedia/cross-media journalism to provide a foundation for the development of informed long-form journalism practice across multiple platforms. Learners are also encouraged to critically engage with their own work as part of the program aim of encouraging informed and reflective practice.
