The course aims to apply concepts, principles, structures, and standards used to design, implement, monitor, and secure various architectures such as systems, applications, operating systems, equipment, networks, and those controls used to enforce multiple appropriate levels of security, which are aligned with CISSP domain 3.

Course learning outcomes
- Describe the fundamental concepts of security models
- Describe security design principles and methodologies, and their application in the design process
- Document security architecture solution processes, including security requirements, strategies, and testing methodologies
- Design security architecture solutions that are resilient against cryptanalytic attacks within the context of a complex case study organisation
- Present the latest research developments related to a specific topic in security architecture
