Course overview
In this course students will fulfill client informational needs by discovery, evaluation and presentation of information, using systems and sources in information services. Determining client information needs, systems and sources for information discovery, information behaviour, search interfaces, information search and retrieval techniques, information evaluation, information literacy and evidence-based practice for users of all ages.

- Create effective search strategies and demonstrate successful retrieval of appropriate resources, and incorporate resource based learning.
- Synthesise professional and scholarly literature to outline effective industry practice in information discovery, retrieval, evaluation, provision and support.
- Design industry-appropriate online tools to support user information-seeking behaviour.
- Demonstrate industry-compliant communication standards by preparing documentation suitable for management and administration of information services.
