Course overview
This course further develops knowledge and skills by practicing system design at the workplace. This course builds upon the system requirements material and consolidates the concepts taught pertaining to system design by providing you with practice describing a system design adhering to workplace processes and standards. Students follow workplace practices and process and demonstrate competencies to derive a system design from a set of requirements in an industry setting.
Course learning outcomes
- Adhere to workplace processes and practices to design a software system from a set of requirements
- Apply system design techniques to generate a component structure for a software design that solves a problem in an industry setting
- Justify design decisions with reference to the requirements and using relevant workplace best practices to verify the design
