Course overview

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively apply agile development principles using Scrum, along with Lean UX practices, to enhance the efficiency, collaboration, and user-centricity of software development projects. Participants will learn how to utilise Scrum, practices, and roles, as well as integrate Lean UX methodologies to streamline the design and development process. Students will be using project management principles to delivering high-quality products that meet user needs and business objectives.

Course learning outcomes

  • Describe how project management skills can be used in an Agile process
  • Discuss the Scrum methodology and the team roles to develop an advanced IT project
  • Apply requirements and design skills in a Scrum process
  • Select priority requirements then plan, execute and review an increment
  • Calculate and utilise team velocity to predict project timing
  • Apply LeanUX and good UX principles to create well crafted applications
