Course overview

This course develops the professional competencies and skills required of an information technology professional in an industry setting. Students will complete professional development activities and tasks relevant to their workplace to develop practical job applicable knowledge and skills that contribute to success in the workplace.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate principles, techniques, ethical and professional practice skills relevant to the industry learning experience
  • Demonstrate skills for non-technical aspects of professional behaviour, for example, human, social, ethical, environmental, legal, economic, and cultural factors
  • Demonstrate professional competencies/capabilities relevant to industry practice
  • Critically reflect on the tasks undertaken throughout the experience
