Course overview
This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge required to implement design thinking through participating and contributing to an effective team. Topics covered in this course include: working in teams, communicating your ideas, design thinking principles and methodology, and career planning and preparation.
Course learning outcomes
- Develop an understanding of personal attributes and their impact on team dynamics
- Develop communication and interpersonal skills to successfully complete a project
- Empathise with users to identify requirements and to establish an ethical problem statement
- Ideate a range of solutions in order to address a problem statement
- Evolve a prototype through iterative testing
- Develop a career plan and the knowledge and skills needed to gain practical work experience
- Develop cultural sensitivity and competency

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
