This course aims to develop students' ability to follow system analysis practices to generate the system requirements for a given problem statement considering technical, human and cultural factors (including international and First Nations people).

Course learning outcomes
- Describe the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the role of requirements in the process.
- Apply industry-standard modelling techniques and documentation methods to structure and validate system requirements in alignment with best practices.
- Construct user profiles and use cases to assemble the requirements based on stakeholder priorities for a given problem statement.
- Apply skills of collaboration, professional communication and stakeholder engagement in team-based setting for capturing and documenting the requirements.
- Determine stakeholder needs considering inclusion and diversity factors, ethics and cultural sensitivities.
