Course overview

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the importance of cyber governance, risk and compliance within organisational cyber security, analyse various cyber security frameworks, and assess their suitability for different contexts. Through theoretical learning and practical exercises, they will develop skills in conducting comprehensive risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and formulating tailored cyber security strategies aligned with organisational goals. By the end of the course, students will emerge with the ability to explain the significance of cyber governance, evaluate cyber security frameworks, conduct risk assessments, and develop bespoke cyber security policies to safeguard organisational assets.
