Students will engage with nation building theorists and practitioners to explore Indigenous nation building as a governance and community planning tool for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The course will introduce students to the key elements of nation building. Students will critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise information relating to Aboriginal nation building, identify the need for nation building and demonstrate specialised knowledge and understanding of the importance of nation building and be able to apply this knowledge in their professional practice.
