Course overview

Using international examples of Indigenous peoples, cultures and knowledges to find a relatedness to focus on issues of concern within a globalized world.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of Indigenous Peoples worldviews and philosophies globally
  • Using international examples of Indigenous Peoples, cultures and knowledges describe Indigenous Peoples notions of relatedness on issues of concern within a globalized world
  • Synthesise the methodology of auto-ethnography to reflect on the importance of Indigenous knowledges and cultures in a changing world
  • Apply appropriate critical skills and methodologies to analyse critical debates on the challenges and richness of Indigenous life and cultures worldwide with intellectual honesty, self-reflection and a respect for ethical scholarship
