To develop students' knowledge of diversity of the contemporary social and political situations in Australia which impact on Aboriginal peoples.
Course learning outcomes
- Recognise the diversity of the social and political situations in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples live.
- Describe the ways in which global situations have influenced the history of Australian race relations.
- Explain the impact of racism on Aboriginal people, and intersections with class and gender inequalities.
- Account for the different needs and perspectives as expressed by Aboriginal groups on current issues.

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
