To critically examine Australian government policies in relation to nationalism, cultural identity and the politics of representation.
Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate a theoretical understanding of government policy on issues such as refugees and immigration in contemporary Australia.
- Critically engage with issues associated with citizenship, human rights, and media discourse through a close analysis of contemporary social issues.
- Examine specific areas of government policy and issues such as refugees and racism, or education and multiculturalism

If you are an international student, or a domestic student studying in a full fee paying place, and are continuing study that you commenced in 2025 or earlier, your fees will be available here before enrolments open for 2026.
