Course overview

Foundations of International Business is a comprehensive course designed to provide graduate students with a foundational understanding of the global business landscape. Through an exploration of global business environments and the opportunities, challenges and risks they present, students will develop the essential tools needed to navigate the complexities of international business management. 

The course covers a wide range of topics essential for success in the international arena, including regionalization, globalization, and the role of multinational enterprises. Students will explore theories of trade and foreign direct investment, gaining insights into conducting sustainable businesses in diverse political, economic, and socio-cultural systems. Furthermore, they will examine the impact of economic development and social change on international business operations. 

By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and diverse perspectives necessary to excel as international business managers in today's interconnected global economy
