Course overview
This course aims to develop students’ professional identity and capabilities as a Human Movement practitioner through a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience. The course brings together all learning from preceding courses within the program to form a unique scope of Human Movement practice for each learner to apply within 100+ hours of contextual Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences. The course enables students to learn through a variety of potential means – observing; practicing; researching; interviewing; recording; reflecting – via engagement with industry and community partners in authentic activities that integrate theory with the practice of work. The course has a strong emphasis on career readiness, professionalism, and the process of ongoing reflective evaluation to develop necessary job ready capabilities which are aligned to the program's intent to prepare Human Movement practitioners who excel in a global market.
