Course overview

This course develops students advanced knowledge of the theory and practice of managing workforce capabilities strategically, including planning and data analytics, engagement and work design, diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI), recruitment and retention, learning and development, reward and performance management, health and safety, sustainability and social responsibility. This course explores how alignments between human resource management (HRM) functions and the organisations overarching strategic goals and objectives are achieved and delves into the best-fit approach to managing workforce capabilities. Students will explore how the present and future set of knowledge, skills and abilities of the workforce are essential to enable an organisation to adapt and succeed in dynamic business environments.
