Course overview

This course develops students knowledge of organisational aspects and strategic context of the training and development of people. In this course, students develop insights into the growing emphasis on learning in organisations and what it takes to successfully plan, manage, and deliver training and development programs. Most organisations appreciate the need to develop a skilled, motivated, and knowledgeable workforce so they can be competitive and innovative. Individuals, too, seek opportunities to learn and apply new skills in their current and future roles. The broader community derives benefit from a skilled workforce, as does the nation's economy. Students are assessed through a case study and project.
