Course overview

Information has been described as the lifeblood of tourism, with information and communication technologies (ICT) playing a key role in tourism management and operations. With digital innovations driving and fostering radical change in the sector, enabling firms to streamline operations, increase productivity, enrich customer service and enhance competitiveness, understanding how to leverage and manage technology-based innovations has become a critical issue. Adopting a management, as opposed to a technical, approach, this course aims to develop your management skills and competencies in exploiting information and computer technologies within the broad tourism sector, as well as anticipating their revolutionary impacts on three major tourism stakeholders: tourism demand; tourism suppliers; and tourism destinations.
