Course overview

This course provides an integrated study of festivals and events within social and commercial contexts. It aims to enable students to develop a deeper knowledge of the management related issues affecting festivals and events, and to understand how this knowledge could be applied to a number of professional careers in this field. The course offers an array of interesting topics that encourage both the study of festivals and events as a human phenomenon and study of festivals and events as a commercial experience. Students will also benefit from practical connections to the events industry through the experiences and insights of guest speakers.
