This course aims to equip students with the skill set for sustainable tourism development, with a focus on analysing tourism impacts and developing effective strategies to manage those impacts aligning with the sustainable development goals. Serving as an introduction to sustainable tourism development, it establishes a solid foundation for further studies on destination management for sustainable tourism. Designed to enhance critical thinking and analysis skills crucial for destination management, the course prepares students for the tourism, events and hospitality sector with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable tourism development.
