Course overview
In this course, students will develop skills in conducting a systematic search and review of the literature This course is undertaken in a research team (small groups) under the supervision of an academic staff member. Each group of students will select a predetermined topic, develop an evidence based question, develop a systematic search strategy, access, retrieve, conduct an appraisal of bias and summarise the findings in order to answer the research question. The systematic review will be presented in the form of a written report which will include recommendations for clinical practice and embedding of best available research within relevant courses / program.

- Undertake a systematic search and review of the literature on a specific topic in order to produce the best available evidence for a research question.
- Integrate the link between clinical practice and clinical research.
