Course overview
In this course, students will learn to formulate practice-related questions, search for evidence, evaluate the evidence, apply the evidence and reflect on their performance. Students will also develop an understanding of research processes as an essential tool for research evidence in practice. Relevant aspects of research methods will be introduced, and students will acquire knowledge relating to the selection and use of measures and/or tests that are used in research and practice.

- Apply the five steps of evidence based practice to different types of research questions.
- Appraise the strength of evidence generated by a range of methodologies.
- Analyse and interpret appraised evidence to a practice-related problem or issue or situation.
- Integrate and communicate findings that use differing methodologies to explore a similar practice problem.
- Consider research ethics and reflect on own performance in developing capacity to be an evidence-based practitioner.
