Course overview
This course will further extend students' ability in communication design by researching a range of issues and scenarios. Students will be able to design appropriate responses relevant to purpose and context, with an understanding of the social, ethical, and environmental impact of their design practice. Students will further build their knowledge of and research into the development of effective communication design, using advanced skill and knowledge in typography, image design, and overall approach. Students will extend and apply skills in visual argument and critique designing strategies and responses to a range of issues and scenarios, and with increasing understanding of the social, ethical and environmental impact of their practice.

- Apply creative, iterative and critical thinking to effectively address diverse communication tasks
- Synthesise information from a range of sources to generate and evaluate the suitability of design propositions relative to context
- Visually communicate using advanced skills in typography, graphic and image design, by selecting appropriate design approaches for purpose

- Develop awareness of issues and responsibilities related to professional practice
