Course overview

This course explores modes of professional application and design processes for commercial Illustration practice. It establishes Illustration as a key tool to communicate meaning and ideas to an audience. Expanding on key practices within both Commercial and Editorial Illustration, the role of visual narrative, conceptual metaphor, and symbols to a variety of applied social and cultural contexts. Students will examine, critique and engage industry practices and processes in the execution of creative projects.
